Tech SOS, without the panic

In-home tech help, no jargon, no judgment

A computer, tablet or phone problem can ruin your day — especially when there’s no one around to ask. Our students come to you, fix the problem with you, then explain what happened, so next time feels less scary.

The problems we fix most often

  • An alarming window announcing viruses that won’t go away
  • Wi-Fi that won’t connect, at home or in your residence
  • A printer that stopped responding
  • A forgotten password, a locked account
  • A phone or tablet stuck on « storage full »
  • A new device to install and set up
  • Email that stopped coming in — or overflows with ads
  • Text too small, sound too low, icons gone missing

On-site or remote, whichever suits you

Most tech hiccups can be fixed just as well over a screen-share as in person. For remote sessions, we use TeamViewer, a professional remote-support tool — the same kind many large companies use for their own tech support.

You always stay in control: you launch the software and give us the code shown on your screen, never the other way around. You see everything we do live, and you can close the session with one click at any time.

Prefer to have us there in person? No problem — we also come to you, at home, in your residence or at a nearby café, anywhere in Montreal.

Fix, then explain — that’s the difference

A technician fixes the problem and leaves. We fix the problem with you: you see every step, you ask your questions, and you keep clear notes if you want to redo it on your own.

And we’re honest: if a problem goes beyond what we can safely fix — a broken device, a situation that needs a specialist — we tell you straight and point you to the right resource. No empty promises.

Our guarantee: you only pay if it’s fixed

Before we start, we give you a clear time and price estimate based on what you describe.

You only pay at the end, and only if the problem is truly resolved to your satisfaction.

If it comes back in the following days, we come back and fix it again — for as long as it takes, at no extra charge.

Scams and scary messages: react without panicking

Fake virus alerts and fake calls from « Microsoft » or « your bank » target seniors first. If in doubt, don’t click anything and call us — we’ll look together.

The real difference from a scam: we never call you out of the blue, we never ask for payment during a session, and it’s always you who grants access — never the other way around. In the meantime, two reflexes: never call a number shown in an alert window, and never let someone you didn’t call yourself take remote control of your screen.

Frequently asked questions

How soon can you help?

Our time slots are on weekday evenings and all day on weekends, often within a few days — in person or remote. Book online to see the available times, or give us a call.

Do you repair broken devices?

No — we’re not a repair shop. Cracked screen, device that won’t turn on: we’ll point you to a trustworthy repair service. Everything else — settings, software, accounts, connections — is for us.

Is remote support safe?

Yes, on one essential condition: you always stay in control. We use TeamViewer, a well-known professional tool; only you decide to open it, only you give us the connection code, you see everything on screen live, and you can end the session at any time. We never call you first to offer a remote session — it’s always you who books the appointment.

What if the problem comes back?

We come back and fix it, at no charge, until it’s gone for good. Our rule: you only pay once you’re satisfied.

I already clicked on something suspicious — is it serious?

Don’t panic: in most cases, nothing irreversible has happened. The right reflex is to act quickly: call us, and if banking information is involved, also call your financial institution right away.

Do you come to residences?

Yes — at home, in seniors' residences or at a café, anywhere in Montreal.
